Wales will kick off the 2019 Six Nations Championship on a Friday night in Paris as the fixtures for the next two years are confirmed.

Welsh rugby fans may have thought they'd seen the back of the Friday night games after the WRU refused to host any more following the 2017 Championship.

But Warren Gatland's men will make their way to Paris for an 8:00pm kick off in two years' time.

As for next season, Wales will welcome Scotland to Cardiff on the opening weekend before heading to Twickenham for the crunch match against England.

They'll also play in the final game of Super Saturday next season, again facing France but this time at 5pm on a Saturday in Cardiff.

In 2019, after their Friday night opener in Paris, Wales will head back on the road, this time to Rome, before welcoming Eddie Jones' men to the Welsh capital in the third round.

They'll be the middle game of Super Saturday, facing Ireland in Cardiff as the 2019 Championship comes to a close.

The Six Nations will remain a seven-week competition, with rest weeks after rounds two and three, despite calls from Aviva Premiership clubs to shorten the Championship to a five-week block.
